PayDay is a brand of a candy bar first introduced in 1932 by the Hollywood Candy Company. Payday was marketed during the Great Depression as a meal replacement because of its dense peanut outer layer. As the story goes, it was payday at the plant when the inventors were trying to come up with a name for the new candy bar, hence its name!
It consists of delicious savory peanuts that surround a core of creamy, chewy caramel - Hershey's Pay Day bar is quite unique in its "inside out" design! Mouthwatering peanuts and delicious caramel, Pay Day Peanut Caramel Bars are the right combination of salty sweet goodness.
