Spice up your favorite drinks and dishes with the delicious flavor of Clamato, an authentic, refreshing blend flavored with tomato juice and spices. Perfect for your next Bloody Mary. It can be enjoyed on its own but is primarily used in various cocktails with vodka or beer. In Canada, it’s typically used in “The Bloody Caesar,” a saltier version of the Bloody Mary, and in Mexico, it’s most often used in the beer-based drink Michada or Michelada, which is a milder and more refreshing version of the Bloody Mary.
The Bloody Caesar:
Kosher salt or sea salt for the rim of the glass, 2–3 lime wedges, 2 oz vodka, 6 oz Clamato juice, 2–3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce (or more to taste), 2–3 dashes of Tabasco (or more to taste). Add pepper to taste. Garnish with a celery stalk and a pinch of kosher salt or sea salt.
Michada or Michelada:
A milder and fresher version of the Bloody Mary. Kosher salt or sea salt for the rim, 60 ml fresh juice from 2 limes (set aside a little for the rim), 2 tsp hot sauce (preferably Tapatio or Tabasco), 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 bottle of Corona or another Mexican beer.
