Irn-Bru was created in Scotland in 1901 and, for much of its history, has achieved something almost no other soft drink in the world has—it has outsold Coca-Cola in Scotland. That says a lot about the place Irn-Bru holds in the hearts of the Scottish people. Even today, the drink is produced by A.G. Barr, a family-owned company with over a century of history behind it.
